New Resources: Magic Erasers!
To make your lessons more exciting (and quicker to create), we have pulled together some of the best and most “magical” resources and ideas from Planet members to create a new Resource Pack called “Magic Erasers”!
What are magic erasers?
Magic erasers are specially-created grouped objects that can be moved around on a flipchart page to magically “see” what is behind them.
You may have seen this topic discussed on the forum under other names such as “magic revealer” or “magic spyglass".
How can I use them in my lessons?
Here are some ideas on how magic erasers can be applied in the Activclassroom:
Biology - Create two layers of images over the human body: one, an external image of the body, and the other, an internal image of the skeleton. Use your eraser to reveal the different parts of the body and the internal organs.
Geography - Again, create two layers of images: one featuring the terrain of a place, or a town, and the other, an overlay of a map coordinate image. See if your students can guess what the terrain would look like.
Primary - Why not take a picture of a house and see if students can guess what would be inside each room? Draw your own image of the inside of the house and design the layout. Ask students what type of furniture they would use. Then, set your photo of the house to the top layer so the eraser reveals the rooms inside!
