In the ActivClassroom, everyone wants to come to the board. With ActivArena, student and teacher can assemble and contribute together. It’s one student, one teacher and two pens working in an endless environment of collaboration.

In the ActivClassroom, we learn our lessons together. ActivArena makes Dual-User functionality and vibrant group collaboration possible at the ActivBoard. Complete with two newly designed ActivPens (two teacher and two student pens), ActivArena allows two people to use the ActivBoard simultaneously whilst giving the person with the “teacher” pen control. The result is collaboration, connectivity and engagement like never before.
ActivArena 50 Upgrade Pack has been developed for the new 100 and 300 Ranges (requires upgrade to ActivInspire Professional Edition if not already used). ActivArena Upgrade Pack is also available for most* existing ActivBoards. (*ActivBoard 64, 78, 87, 95). Simply choose the appropriate Upgrade Pack. Please note the packs differ for each generation of board, you may also require firmware updates for your ActivBoards.

Take the classroom anywhere. In the ActivClassroom (or any classroom), planning is pivotal, but preparation isn’t always an in-room experience. At home, at the coffee shop and on the go, away from the ActivBoard, teachers need the flexibility to take the interactive show on the road. That’s why we created ActivTablet, a portable, pen-driven interface that allows educators to create with ActivInspire just as they would in front of the ActivBoard. In the ActivClassroom, there are no quiet corners. Listening is important, and the ability to speak unstrained above the noise is vital. We created ActivSound—audio enhancement for educators and students that makes every seat in the class a good one, no matter how lively the lesson gets. It engages the audience and enhances the learning environment making it less stressful and more productive.
ActivSound features an easy-to-use, wireless pendant microphone that picks up a teacher’s voice (not static electricity or the rustle of clothing), and a pass-around student microphone (or two, or three) so the students can contribute just as clearly. All are interfaced with a mixer-amplifier and played evenly between two to eight stereo speakers, depending on your needs. The system is versatile enough to fit any space, even the smallest or most temporary. Regardless, the result is amplification of the learning experience for everyone.

Introducing ActivEngage
ActivEngage is a software-based Learner Response System. In schools that have invested in 1:1 laptop initiatives, mobile laptop carts or computer labs for learners, ActivEngage extends the use of these computers for whole group instruction.
What is ActivEngage?
As the latest addition to Promethean’s family of Learner Response Systems for the ActivClassroom, ActivEngage enables networked Windows® and Mac® computers to act as response devices.
Using ActivInspire, the teacher displays a question on the interactive whiteboard or verbally, and the students respond using the virtual device on their computers. The ActivEngage Server can be the teacher’s computer or a centrally managed computer (Windows only).
The ActivEngage Server Edition does not require a physical ActivHub. It creates a Virtual Hub that enables client (student computer) to register and communicate with the teacher’s computer through ActivInspire software.
