How about having the question read out-loud to the voters automatically by the use of an embedded sound? Of course, the designer of the session would have to create the question sound but would still be quite interesting :D

I'm considering using the attached sound in an ACTIVote session - "WHAT WOULD YOU DO?" A.. B.. C.. or D.. ?!?!

By the way, I'm working on a really really cool ACTIVote session at the moment. Might take a couple of months as I'm holding production until the new standards come out for the course but I'll post it up here for you guys to check out.

Is there a way to play the sound automatically as soon as a new page is turned?

I have been looking at automated tests using Activote but the questions need to be read out (for those children with weak reading ability).

Something like that would be ideal.

The discussion is focusing on automating the delivery of the questions. What would be the advantage for the student and the teacher here?

The advantage for the teacher here is that a flipchart could be used as a sample mental arithmetic test as in the KS2 SATs maths.

I have had teachers ask me about having questions read aloud and automatically when a flipchart page changes. The KS2 SATs mental arithmetic tests have questions which are 5 seconds, 10 seconds and 15 seconds long. Using a flipchart here and the countdown timer on each page to set the right time and turn to the next page would be a great advantage.

For the children, well they get more practice at mental maths (not sure that THEY would see it as an advantage!! more tests!!) BUT it would mean another way of accessing something which they otherwise may struggle with.
