HI. I have recently used the voting system to carry out some research during a focus group discussion.
The participants enjoyed how instantly the instantly the results were visible and how easy it was to clear results and revote if people voted incorrectly. {}

I wanted to export the results charts that were automatically generated into a report (word doc) of the session.
I couldn't work out a simple way in which to increase the amount of data that could be included in the chart such as question asked as a title for the chart (not just response) and voting options visible in the flip chart (not just A to F), prior to exporting it. ???? Is this possible? or should I do it after exporting all the results to Excel? Any ideas?

Cheers Noel

Noel,

I recently had to do the same for a course I was taking at college. I pasted the image to a flipchart, selected the image, and then pasted it on a new MS Word document. It then made it's way to a PowerPoint for the instructor to look at!

If there is an easier way, I hope to eventually find it!

Good suggestion by AirSkeeter. I past the results into each flipchart page then export the whole flipchart to a word document or powerpoint depending on who needs to see it. It is so simple I instantly just exported the flipchart to the format I want to share it in. I do have an example but file upload doesn't allow ppt. Watch this space for a more graphic example.

Thanks Michele and AirSkeeter for your comments.

The focus of my question was not on pasting the results to the flipchart and then copying into word. I right clicked the results chart image and used the copy to clipboard option and pasted 24 results charts on the trot. Great feature. [clap]

My question is about increasing the amount of information that is included in the pasted results chart that can be copied and pasted. I had to copy the flipcharts into powerpoint (the result chart wasn't exported with the flipchart) to extract the questions presented to the voters and option descriptions so A,B,C,D and is abit more meaningful in the report. Is this increase in detail possible? ;)

This wouldn't be a drawn out process if it was one or two results chart but when it is 26 it gets a bit labour intensive.

Hi Michele

Have now allowed ppt files to be attached - in future if you want to share something just zip it up then you can post any file type :)

Hi Noel.

In the present version of the software the export to excel indicates the choices that was made , A, B, C, D and if a right/wrong answer is assigned it colour green or red.

It does show the question however if you hover in the Q1 cell. it will show the question.

Would you like a feature that pastes the question and possible choices aswell ? Just out of interest what version of Activstudio2 are you using ?

That image is rather interesting. Sounds and looks quite good.

Hi Michele

That inserted chart (thumbnail) would be great as an pasted or exported results chart.

Am using Active Studio 2 Professional edition - Windows version 2.0.307

It would be even better if one had the option of allocating two to five diferent groups (teams) of people and have their results posted on the same chart with different colour bars. (light for wrong/ dark for right ).

Are these developments in progress or in a more recent version?
