Inserting images with transparent backgrounds

I am having difficulty inserting images which have transparent backgrounds into a flipchart using Activprimary 3. Gifs come in with a black background and pngs come in with a white background. The transparency on both images works fine when inserted into a Smartboard notebook. Any ideas.

John, I couldn't find a transparnecy setting in ActivPrimary V3. If you upgrade to ActivInspire and use the Primary look and feel (found on the dashboard under configure) you do have transparency options.
