Hi
Is anyone else having problems with the transparency setting when dragging out resources... today I was using the coins in the maths resources and they were coming out with no transparency... surrounded in a pink square... I turned off/on the transparency button and that didn't help... is there a bug in the transparency function?

were you using the new inspire resources or some v3 resources?

Hi Louise
the UK coins are in the maths resources inside the resource pack that is offered with the Inspire download... I made sure that I installed them into a separate folder so I could see what was included... I then pasted them into the Inspire shared resources folder...

hhmm, odd. This problem does only seem to be affecting inspire resources.
I'll get it raised & we'll look into it.

What's even more odd is when I set drag a copy and pulled one off the master it came off transparent. As a work around you may want to do that and then delete the original. Obviously not a long term solution but it could get you through for a bit.

another long winded work around I'm afraid
change the transparency in the properties browser so it displays correctly & then resave it, it will then add to the page fine. Only useful I would have thought if you know you're going to use the resource lots of times.

Hi
Maybe this is why the revealers in the gadgets don't work as they should do... the magnifying glass and the harry potter glasses... it all makes sense now... cheers

If I click on the stamp tool as I drag the coins out I can't then turn it off... it stays on... any ideas???

Hi,
Because the stamp tool is now a tool you have to select another tool if you want to dismiss it.
I just read that back and it is quite obvious to me that I used the word tool too many times!

Cheers Andy.... I'll click on another tool, so as to release the stamp tool and then I won't be using that tool no more, I like the stamp tool clwn

My daughter's getting married. Will be dressed in lots of tulle.
Sorry, will chastise myself later.

I have a simpler work around for this. I noticed exactly the same thing when working with some children yesterday. If you turn the page and then turn back, the item's background will become transparent again. [clap]
Cheers
