I downloaded and instaled ActivINspire. I also download he resources, but how do I install them?

are you windows or mac?
I haven't downloaded them myself but just started the windows download & that was an exe. I would guess that you would just double click on the file & follow any instructions. It isn't a resource pack that would need importing.

If you're on mac then just double click the .zip file you downloaded, which will extract the install package (ActivInspire Main Resources.pkg) which you double click to run it :)

A better question is how does one install resource packs now (.as3a files)? I can't find the resource manager that was part of studio 3.

There are a couple of ways. Easiest at first glance is just to go to the import and choose import resource pack. There is no longer a separate application.

As a new user, I have a problem with the action browser. I can't figure out how to move actions from the current selection tab (which seems like a library) to the drag and drop tab (where I seem to have to have it to do anything with it). I have pored through the help without success, getting entries like this:

The quickest way to associate an action with an object is from the Drag and Drop Tab of the Action Browser file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Activ%20Software/Inspire/help/images/inspire_studio/actions32.png file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/Activ%20Software/Inspire/help/images/inspire_primary/actions32.png.

I've taken the initial course and am waiting for the next ones to become available. For now this board seems the best place to get info. This is where the user manual several people have asked for would be handy--a continuous, comprehensive presentation.
