Just when I thought I can finally get ActivInspire for Linux...

Why are there only 32-bit packages available?

New computers nowadays all support 64-bit and are pretty much required if we want more than 4GB of RAM installed and efficiently used. RAM is so cheap that not going all out and getting computers with 8GB of RAM does not make sense anymore. Especially if we intend to run multiple seats off one single computer.

Please release 64-bit packages. Running 64-bit Hardy Heron here.

You should be able to try it now for Ubuntu 8.04, 8.10 and 9.04. It is still experimental, so let us know in the forums if you find problems.

The driver, tools and libraries are native 64-bit, ActivInspire is a 32-bit program (it installs required 32-bit support packages (ia32-libs) automatically).

I'm very keen to get this version of the Promethean software. The linux desktop does everything in a more slick
way, and it would be great to be able to combine the whiteboard with linux applications in a simple way using all
the features of my system.
