Will we need to reinstall the resource packs we have put in our Activstudio software or is there a quicker way? Thanks

They should still be there. Mine are. Look further down the list. The first Resource Pack folder must be a new emptry folder, but there should be another one under Shared Collctions further down.

Hi, Lisa
I found some of the previous downloaded resource packs, but not all of them. I am installing on my laptop and see what happens. A previous post said that the software should find the resource packs on Activstudio. I am hoping I didn't have them installed on this computer. I'll let you know. Thanks for such a quick response.

Lisa,
All of the resources on my laptop are in Inspire! Yeah! I had downloaded much more on my laptop.

Great! I wouldn't have been fun to have to download them all again! {} There are around 200 of them now!

Lisa - Will there be directions posted on how to import resource packs into Inspire? Or is it the same process as studio?
Thanks! Can't live without my resource packs :)

Have just downloaded the new Activ Inspire software and am trying to find my way around. When I open Resource browser - Shared Activities - KS2 Numeracy, a lot of black documents open at the bottom of the screen. When I put the cursor over them they simply display the file name but no image, how can I tell what they are without opening them all?
Secondly is the resource search facility available yet?

Thank you

Curious.

Can you drag the resources from this pack correctly onto the flipchart page?
Can you attach one of the resource files you are having problems with?

I have had the same issue. There are two files to download. Inspire and the resource pack that you can download with it. I noticed that the computer didn't recognize the resource pack as belonging to Inspire after I installed Inspire and then downloaded the resource pack. I was able to install the resource pack, however not all of the thumnail views of the resources show up in the resource manager. I have attached a screenshot, pasted into a flip to show you. I circled the area where the thumnails are not showing up.

I can recreate this for swf files.
Is anyone having problems with other types of files - ie as2, or for other resource types, ie shapes or images.

The resources will drag into the flip just fine. It seems to be an issue with the thumnails only. Of interest, my computer doesn't recognize / associate the resource library with Inspire. There is no Promethean icon. I will attach a screen shot of what it looks like on my desktop. Also, if you double-click on the resource pack, the prompt comes up asking what program you would like to open it with.

Is anyone else experiencing these resource pack issues?

There is no ActivResource Manager in ActivInspire. You can import the resource packs using the import resource packs option.
