Error 1324. The path Application Data contains an invalid character

This is the message I get when trying to install! I've downloaded to the hard drive, unpacking completes and at the same time as the Installshield Wizard appears I get this message. Won't go any further then. I'm using Windows XP. Any help appreciated!

This can happen due to incorrect shell folder value type, or due to incorrect data in the registry. To resolve the problem try the suggestions at the following link:

Even though this is talking about Ms Office the solution should still apply.
