I am just installing Inspire on a MAC.
I note that in the Activsoftware BETA folder on my MAC at least, there is an Activsoftware uninstaller... Wondering if people are using that before installing the new version.

I didn't uninstall anything before installing the new version. I THINK that somewhere in the installation process there was a button that said "upgrade" so I chose that.
So far so good, except that most of my folders in the resource library are still empty (and I did download and install the second installer for resources.)

Thanks...
I know a couple of MAC issues have been reported - and I am not aware of any technical response yet so was wanting to test a couple of things out.

Should I continue to report anything I see? Don't get me wrong. This is GREAT! But I do see some omissions.

I have been able to quickly download Inspire, can install it, but it's quitting out almost immediately. I did try the uninstallers and even deleting preferences (this is on mac 10.5 but I also tried it on 10.4). I must have something conflicting? I haven't tried it with a board yet ....

Cross posting here, hoping to get more information. I am so impatient to use the new version:
I am running 10.5.6 on a dual core Macbook. I was able to download the software, install Inspire, but I keep getting a message saying This Beta has expired.
I did have the beta on my machine at first, but I have since uninstalled it, to no avail. I can't get past the splash screen. (nice animation, btw…)
Any thoughts?
I have installed, started, failed to get it running, uninstalled, reinstalled, etc. 4 times. What's that definition of insanity?
So now I am waiting for the experts to weigh in.

I also am trying to run the software on my macbook pro. It installs fine but when I try to open it. It quits.
I have tried uninstalling and everything, this is very frustrating

The Activsoftware uninstaller is just a handy tool to make uninstalling the software a little easier if the need arises. It isn't necessary to uninstall anything prior to installing the new version.

I tried installing Inspire on another Macboo, this time running 10.4.11.
It downloaded without a hitch. I then ran the uninstaller and then installed InspireV1. It loaded, asked for my serial # and seemed to run just fine.
Unfortunately it was my home laptop, not the one school gave me, (which is the one I can't get to work…) so I have had no time to play/work with it.
So, it works on 4.11, for me; and does not work on x.5.6, at least for me.
Thoughts?
PS
I'll try tech support when I get a break later today.
