One of my fellow Promethean colleagues at another school in our same district invited me to her
virtual classroom today through Elluminate. We could see the flipchart and each of us could take control of it; however her class could only see and hear us. We couldn't see or hear them. Can anyone help us determine what we are doing wrong? Isn't there a way that we can hear and see each other? Any help would be great. Thanks!

Although I desperately wish there was 2 way video through elluminate, as far as I know there is not. There is the ability though to switch between cameras so you each could see the other room at some point in time during the session. You can however have 2 way audio all of the time. I have attached a set of step by step directions that I followed each day that I joined with my student who was at the hospital. It should explain the step you are missing by not setting the room to share audio. If you still need assistance, please let me know. I'd be more than happy to help. Good luck!

Thank you sooo much for all of your help. The flipchart is very explanatory.
I truly appreciate it. My colleague and I are going to try again Monday and see if we can switch between cameras and figure out the audio with your directions. Have a great weekend!

Check with elluminate too online, I hear the new version allows for 2 way video. [clap] However, when I work with Elluminate, we can see each other, our class appears in a bigger box and the other in a tiny box or vice versa, be sure to hit preview in the window when the camera opens.

Kelly,

I know it is one more app to work with, but you could try using Skype just for the video part.
