Reistering Devices

We have 5 sets of voting devices and 25 boards - this would mean registering devices 4000 times to get each set to work on all the boards.

Is there an easier way to do this? I've found the activote.dev file - is it just a case of copying it to all the PC's running Activstudio?

I would suggest you register one set of ACTIVote with five boards and set it up that way. This will reduce the number of times you need to register a set. Is the set up in your school such that each department is using a set of ACTIVote? So one set for Maths, Science, English etc. Once they are registered you don't need to do this again the board will remember that it knows about the devices.

School using voting have found that they have dedicated a set to one teacher for an extended period of time to develop a "champion" who can then talk about best ways of using the system with pupils. This has proved very successful.
