I have been looking the the AP resources for a Venn Diagram template but I don't seem to be able to find one! Am I not looking hard enough or is it that there isn't one? Would be grateful for some help!
Thanks!

Hi

Somebody has already posted a similar request on the forum (dated 13/12/2004 - on page 2 of the forum). There doesn't appear to be a Venn diagram template in resources but there are a couple of ideas within that posting.

I don't known whether you could use/adapt this. The cirles are filled and turned translucent, but they could be a solid colour or white. You could have 2 instead of three. You could save it into My Shapes or Shared Shapes for future use.Open the Resource library, then Shapes library. Select the all circles and drop them into the Shared Annotations or My Annotations Library. It will then be there for future use.

Hi Sharon

Thanks for the Venn diagram - very useful to keep in resources.

I am bumping this up, because actually I wanted to say that some of the voting scales that are being shipped with Activprimary MV have this type of resource as standard in the resources library....{}

See we do listen to you ;)

The newest version of ActivResources ( the one with 15,000 resources on one disc) includes a fine example of a Venn Diagram. Check with your area TLC for information [clap] .

On this resource library, in the Shared Collections, Lesson Building tools, Page Templates, there is a WONDERFUL venn diagram. You can change the background and edit the text...

But what I LOVE about it, is that the diagram is labelled A, B, and C. That way if you are brainstorming with the kids, they ALL can vote using the Activotes, which of the area the idea should go it. This allows more students to be actively involved in the activity!

I think it's my favorite new thing!

I have attached a flipchart with this page in it.

Did you know that you can also use the Compass tool to create overlapping circles and thus create a completely user defined Venn diagram?

Plus you can use the fill tool to colour in certain areas [clap]
