I would like to offer my building for a collaboration project with the new Activconnect through Elluminate. We are a K-5 building in Maize, KS with a Promethean in every classroom. We are willing to collaborate on any project available, but would like to keep it simple for our first time. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks!

Hey Everyone!!
I am very excited about Activconnect! I have been looking for a project just like this one and would like to provide some details so that I can find someone to collaborate with. :D
I have never used Elluminate but I've looked at the website and can see how it would benefit a project like this. There seems to be a free version that I can use. I have an Activboard in my classroom and a set of Activotes.
I live in Australia and teach in a small northern NSW town. I have 14 children in my class aged between 8 and 10. It is a year 3/4 class.
I would be interested in any type of project. I would love to be able to teach some collaborative lessons and share lots of resources, ideas and flipcharts.
If you are interested please let me know.

Looks like there could be an upcoming collaboration between Kansas and Australia!

Please remember that you can create and launch your vroom right from within your planet account - you do not need to go to the Elluminate site at all. As part of our partnership with Elluminate we are now able to create, launch and mange your free vroom from this one location.

As Cliff says - the tool you need to connect up to 3 schools is now available for FREE and linked to your existing Promethean Planet Account.
A brief overview is on the blog:

But you can just start straight away at:

This sounds really exciting and I plan to spend the next few days looking at all of the help areas.
I teach kindergarten in a VERY small, rural area of south Mississippi. Our school is a K-5 building and about 40% of our classrooms are Activclassrooms. We love our boards and are interested in trying new ideas.
I am especially interested in working with a group from Alaska or Northern Canada and sharing about our community.
Hope to hear from someone soon!!! +wave+

I think we need a subforum within this new section dedicated to your offers of collaboration so these messages don't get lost - I will discuss with the planet team in the morning and we may provide a sub forum purely for the purpose of adding a collaboration request so they are easy to spot and respond to.
There are two or three in here already but its not obvious unless this post is read very carefully.

If you want to practice a collaboration project with us through Activeconnect, let me know. I can have any classroom from K-5 involved in the project. Just let me know... Thanks!

Hello::p Jennifer Here
I don't think my first collaboration has to be a "Project-or weekly thing"? Right!?
Maybe we could just share a lesson and compare how our kids interpret this type of learning/sharing
I am a Reading/Special Ed Teacher from NY-Long Island
I teach at a unique location (FIRE ISLAND)
We are a little bit isolated from schools on the main land...but not too far...
I am looking to collaborate with (Gr 3 or 4 or 5/6)
Subjects- anything reading-writing related
Math- trick-acronyms - to remember strategies (division or any other topic)
Science- Reading strategies (content reading)....
The only Long term projects my resource Room students have going on is a Study of Brazil
And a study of Thomas Jefferon
;) I can welcome any topic really...
