Ability to Insert Variables in Fraction Creator

Is there a way or could there be made a way to insert variables in the fraction creator??

I teach algebra and that would help me!!

No, I'm sorry :( , the fraction creator uses the handwriting recognition engine and is only able to recognise numeric input. Not a lot we can do about this at present. However, we want to create an algebraic symbols library for the resource library which may go some way to help you out. Is there anyone out there that can suggest/provide a definitive list or source for symbols we can include?
