Hi

It is our intention to add video clips into more pertinent areas of the website to support teachers in their use of the software.

However for the moment you are able to access the video gallery here :

http://www.prometheanworld.com/common/video/gallery/index.shtml

Because of the nature of the "buffering" you will need a reasonable bandwidth to use them.

The last "seven" offered here concentrate on use and application of ACTIVprimary and you may find them helpful when you first use the software to get started.

Hope this is helpful

Hi Maragaret

What a great resource and a brilliant addition to the site. [clap] I shall be recommending it to our less experienced AP users and those who didn't 'get it' the first time round!!

Thanks

Really useful - thanks, Margaret (and don't you look glamorous?!). Like Sarah I think this will be a great way to support those who take a little longer to grasp new ideas.

Hi Margaret,
I don't know if I'm supposed to ask questions here but.....how did you cut the pig (with his house round his ears) to a new page in the training video? I tried and failed dismally!
Many thanks
Kevin

Hi Kevin,

I am thrilled that you have asked the question! [clap]

You need to be in Design Mode (Prom Man, click on his friend - you will notice the frame around the Prom man has now turned to red).

When you are in Design Mode you can move pictures and text from one page to another. The reason this isn't available in Presenter Mode (non design mode) is you wouldn't necessarily want children doing this

 Click on the Page number button/icon - about half way down the toolbar. You will see all of your pages from your flipchart at the bottom of the page. Drag images from one page to another.

A useful tip : Always save all flipcharts with a "CLEAN" page so that you always have an option of taking objects or text to a page already there waiting.

HTH

Let us know how you got on!

Hi Margaret

I am so sorry we gave you a lisp :o

I promise that when things calm down a touch after the site migration and testing I will look at compressing the videos once more and re-instate your dulcet tones ;)
