Not sure, Ali. I've just tried it - ie linking a sound to an image using design mode. Clicking on the picture then plays the sound in either design or presentation mode. Have another go, or post another message describing the steps you took if that doesn't work.

I had the exact same problem. And you don't want to be in design mode around small children! I can't remember off hand how I solved it! I'll have to go take a look at my old board when I go back to school next week - unless someone can sort you before then! Out of interest, is it linked to an RM machine?

Is the object that you are adding sound to locked? I've had the same problem and I seem to remember that it worked once the object was unlocked. I hope that helps.

Hi Ali
As far as I know as soon as you lock an object with a sound file attached or even a sound file icon dragged up from the Resource Library area, it will only play the sound if you are in Design Mode - not too helpful really! If you don't want to be in Design Mode when using the flipchart, but do want to lock the object, then I suppose the only answer is to lock the object and then place an 'unlocked' sound file icon (from the Resource Library area) near to the locked object. But then again there may be someone out there who has a better idea.

Having looked at some of the latest AP downloads, e.g. The Three Billy Goats Gruff, Toys Then And Now it appears that the characters or speech bubbles that talk (in presentation mode) are not locked on these flipcharts either.

Maybe the new version of AP will solve this one - does anybody know?

Hi

As far as I know this will not be "solved" as I think it has something to do with the way the software works. If an object is locked then it is not "accessible".
