Hi. I'm a teacher for 6th grade, and I wanted to make flipcharts and ticker tapes at home for my class. My administrator said he couldn't find my serial number, so I'm in a deadlock. Can anyone help?

Do you have the CD case? If so, it's the number inside the case that the software came in.

No, I don't. The program was installed to the school's network, but teachers could access it.

Hmmm....
I would suggest that you email 2 people: your tech staff and your TLC. Either one of them should be able to help you out on this one. Your tech people have the serial number on their CD cover that came in, and your TLC might have access to that number as well... Where are you located, so that we can figure out which TLC can help you?

The serial number can also be found in the software itself - just click the About...Activprimary (or studio, ofc) in the installed software on the boards themselves.
From the License agreement:
"Additionally, this license permits installation for use in preparatory work only, on the license holder's hardware or on the user's personal hardware on or off site. Please note only one CD-ROM will be shipped with each Interactive device. Upon cessation of employment within the license holder's organisation, this software must be removed from the employee's personal hardware and copies of this software should be returned to the license holder"

If you have the serial number of your board (Can be found on a tag on the bottom left side), you can probably get the software serial number by calling tech support.

I need help on how to install the software on my home PC. I have Windows Vista and the software will not install. What do I need to do so I can use it with Vista? I have the Software (CD) from my school that I can install. I just got my new board in the spring and am trying to learn how to use everything. Working at home would be helpful. Thanks, June

I downloaded the software for Vista off of PrometheanWorld and I use it every day. It installed exactly as it did on XP and works fine! :)

I remember that it didn't load easily for me. I needed to do version 3 from my CD and then upgrade from the planet. The CD wouldn't load without a work around (which I can't recall what I did). I remember doing a search on the forum and the knowledge base in order to figure it out. Sorry I'm not more of a help - but at least you know it's not just you :o
