View Full Version : 2 questions - ActivVote and text size

1. I've been trying to enter letters with accents in the ActivVote Question Master, but can't. The only way I've found is to have a word document open at the same time and to copy and paste, which works but is time consuming and a bit annoying. Have I missed something?

2. The text on our ActivStudio 2 is really small and almost impossible to read close up. This means that we have to step back from the board in order to read any pop up labels (such as the title of a saved flipchart). I tried changing the whole font size of the PC to large, but was given the message that ActivStudio only works with small. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi Vicky

If you open the Activote Question Master and from the toolbox open the floating keyboard. It's inside the Power Tools. (I use the Promethean one, rather than the one provided with the operating system - Promethean Man>Studio Settings>User Input untick Use Keyboard supplied with Operating System.
When you have your floating keyboard, one of the keys right at the top is an "S" - just to the left of the close key. It stands for symbol (I think!), but will give you a range of accents. If you click inside the box where you wish to type your question, then click on an accented letter on the keyboard it will place it in your text. [clap]

Hope that helps.

Ahhh, yes. Thank you, Sharon. I was sure I'd missed something!!!

Anyone got suggestions about the text size...?

Not sure on the text size, unless it has somethig to do with your screen resolution?

Try changing your computer display resolution to 800x600.
That should enlarge the fonts on screen.

Yes, it was the resolution. Thank you. It's much better.
