Hi There...Can someone please let me know what the difference is between the proActive board and the Active board...the only physical difference is the activeboard has the grey markers, and says 'Activeboard' at the top in Red...the proActive board doesnt have any markings on...only a Promethean badge at the top left and it says proActiveboard in the top right?

Also, does Active Studio 2 work on the proActive board...sorry for all the questions but my school are about to buy a second hand one and we are trying to find out more about it?

Any advice, links or suggestions would be welcomed

thanks

Personally, I would only be concerned if the board had a big black "eye" in the left corner. That board did not come with built in radio and the eye was used for IR. It had a 75" diagonal working space while the other ones (more recent) have a 78" diagonal working space. I just think that for a time they started to use the term proActiv but that didn't last very long. So I think you should be good.

However, I would get a second opinion!

Lisa is right... BUT I am concerned that you mention the grey markings as they were also present on what Lisa calls "the black eye" board.

The black eye board had an area of the board around the edge about an inch all the way round where there was no interactivity - this area was denoted by the grey markings "right angles" in each corner.

If this is indeed the board you are about to purchase I am not sure I would!! This will not support some of the more exciting stuff coming up next year like dual pen! BUT if it doesn't have a black oval eye then it is fine.
