Is there a way of drawing on a flipchart so that the separate parts of the drawing can be filled - as you would do in a paint program? Every time I try I just get the whole background filled. Thanks.

Lara,
Provided the shapes that you are drawing are "enclosed" ie have start and end points that meet, you can fill them.

You can colour in a single shape - ie, if you draw a square, or a circle or any simple 2D shape then that's fine. BUT, what you can't do is to draw something with lines which overlap each other and then colour in the separate parts. For example if you were to try "taking a line for a walk" sort of thing where a single line overlaps itself in several places, even if there were no breaks in the lines you would still not be able to colour in the separate parts. When you click with the fill tool in a particular part it seems to fill a whole host of other parts or sometimes the whole page!
I'm assuming this is the sort of ???? you are after? ;)

This was a concern raised before - not all children realise they need to keep their pen in contact with the board for their "continuous line shape" and so this will be included in the future.

Yes, it's the lines crossing each other that I wanted - the line for a walk example is spot on Laura! So the it's only single shapes that it will fill, not regions of a crossed over drawing?

At the moment it won't fill the "in between" areas, but it will in the next update! Not sure how helpful it is to say that though, particularly when you want to do it now! :)

In the meantime, once your line has "gone for a walk", could you then take the pen tool again and draw round the specific area you wanted to colour, then use the fill tool? Not brilliant, but it might do till it's resolved in the next version. +wave+
Thanks for the ideas - and looking forward to the next version Margaret! ;)
