I found out that I will be teaching nothing but Algebra II this year. I do have some FC's, and have been meaning to submit them, but I was wondering if anyone else has some that align with the Prentice Hall book (2000 version I think).
I was also looking for some activities/games that can change Algebra II from being the same old boring thing to spice it up a little.
One activity I did last year was have my students write a program in Excel to Add matrices, and graph some solutions to systems in groups. I am just trying to get away from always presenting and would like to go after some more interaction.
Please give me any ideas you can think of, whether using the board or not.
To help you out, in my classroom, I have wireless laptops, graphing calculators, the board, votes, slate.
I am thinking about getting a system set up so I will have speakers around the room and I can talk and the volume will be the same throughout the room. (similar to what I used at the national conference in Georgia last year if anyone was there). If anyone has suggestions on speakers or a mic please let me know.
Thank you ahead of time for your suggestions.
