A history flipchart using Toys as a topic. The flipchart encompasses the use of sound and images, also making cross curricular links with Art, Literacy, Design and Technology.
Adding sounds to a flipchart is very straight forward when using the sounds already loaded with the software.
Make sure you are in Design Mode. Double click on the object to which you want to add your sound and within the Object properties box choose “add sound”.
The sound files are offered by way of a drop down menu. If you want to add your own sounds/voice/narration you will need to record your voice using a microphone and the Windows Sound Recorder found in Start Menu/Programs/Accessories/Entertainment.
Save your sound file to the correct folder within ACTIVprimary.
Win 95/98 Me –
C:\Windows\All Users\Documents\ACTIV Software\ACTIVprimary\Resources\Library/Sounds
Win 2000 NT XP –
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\ACTIV Software\ACTIVprimary\Resources\Library/Sounds
