Number line help!

Hi,

I was demonstrating AP to a colleague today and she asked if you could make your own number lines. I went to the number lines in the resource area and found the empty one at the end. However, when I tried to put numbers in it, I couldn't find a way for them to stay in the boxes. I tried everything! It wouldn't let me! I'm sure there must be a way. Please help! ????

Hi Alison

You are such a brilliant asset to this forum - this will be so helpful to others. Thanks for asking :cool:

You need to be in "Design Mode" once you have added your numbers to the boxes. Drag your pen/mouse across the whole number line and double click within this area and choose object properties from the tool box which pops up. One of the options is to "group".

Once you have done this you could save it to the numberline area by dragging it down into the resources bar at the bottom of the page. To do this you must be in Design Mode!

I knew there'd be an easy way! People always talked about dragging things in to the resource folder and I never could get it to work! Now I know! Ta muchly!
