I use a Mac for work and have a PC at home and find that there are a lot of features on the PC that either the Mac doesn't have or that on the Mac they don't work!
1. When I try to add a web link to a flipchart I can get the link to appear on the page but it is stuck at the link and won't let the site/game carry forward. (I have to go out of Activprimary 3 and onto the school server) AND the web window in Activprimary goes heywire!!!!!!
2. I cannot activate the spotlight to appear on the next flipchart page - possible on the PC.
3. Sometimes when I create a flipchart on the PC and transfer it to the Mac ibook actions don't work, text is changed and everything is out of alignment.
Does anyone else have these problems?

Do check you have the latest versions/patches of MAC and PC software that should remedy some of these issues.

When it comes to fonts - you need to make sure the same ones are on PC and MAC - fancy fonts may not be - but commons ones like Helvetica, Times, Verdana are.

Is the link problem on MAC or PC?

Hi Mark,

The link problem that ssimkins is talking about is on the Mac. I have just posted this question on the TLA forum to see if any of the TLCs have noticed this.

Basically, when you go to a website using the Promethean Browser some links on the site will work and other don't. For example, going to www.prometheanworld.com (http://www.prometheanworld.com) will allow you to click and open UK and Rest of World. But once here the link for Planet or Learning won't open.

On this wesite http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/celts/ . You will need to skip the intro and when you get to the main activity clicking on the artifacts in the mud should take you to a new page but doesn't. The links on the right don't seem to work either.

I am wondering if this is just a default setting problem on the Mac and could be fixed easily.

Using the AP for PC browser all the links seem to work as they should.

You need to think about using Safari. in the prefs..linked file hosting...use web browser. This turns off the default browser. You lose some functionality but you get reliability.
