Hi! The US office currently supports South America. As of right now, we haven't received any calls (maybe one in 3 years) from Brazil, and all the emails we receive (not that many--a couple every month or so) are in English. If anyone on here is from Brazil, please respond and tell me what the demand is for Portuguese tech support. I know it's not that great right now, but if it grows, I'm gonna volunteer to learn [clap]. Thanks!

I can't speak officially of course, but the major user of the boards in Brazil at the moment is a web of schools called Cultura Inglesa - they are not the same organisation, nor managed centrally, but they do work together on some projects. The Culturas in Rio & Sao Paulo alone bought 500 boards each, and there are other Culturas which also bought dozens. And they are English schools, which is why they would send questions in English, perhaps.

The main reseller in Brazil at the moment is Positivo Informatica, and I believe they were setting up a portal/forum for all Positivo schools using the board (Positivo is also a major private school chain), as well as support for those publich schools lucky enough to get a board.
It may be worth actually contacting Positivo directly about this - contact details here: http://www.positivoinformatica.com.br/site/fale_conosco.htm

on a side note - it was only after 12 months of using the boards that I realised that the tech support for Brazil was the US - when you open the main sites of Promethean, I would click the Rest of the World, which led me to the UK site - I sent a few messages to the UK tech support and I only discovered the US was the correct support when my message was forwarded to them.
