Hi there.

Well, we took the plunge and installed 3.6 on our classroom computers.

Any issues etc come up, I'll post them here! Hopefully there aren't many as this forum is very quiet at present...

So far:

1) Countdown clock - black on blue background very hard to see.
2) Embedded video - sound runs out of sync with picture. Seems to start slightly after?
3) Sometimes I can't stretch shapes when in presentation mode - I like to do this so we can manpulate bar charts in particular.

Hi Steve

There's little we can do about the countdown clock immediately, but you could post a request in the Activprimary Feature Request forum for a more legible colour combination.

Regarding the out of sync video have you a) searched the forum for any other thread on this issue; b0 looked at the Promethean Knowledgebase;
other than that it sounds like you'll need to contact Tech Support to see if they've an answer.

Stretching shapes shouldn't be a problem. If you'd like to post the offending flipchart, I'll have a look at it.

Thanks, I'd love to post a feature request about the clock, but there doesn't appear to be a feature request forum for ActivPrimary, only for ActivStudio!

Couldn't find any reference to the video issue on the knowledgebase. I would imagine its a performace issue. The videos are quicktime and reasonably high quality. They play very nicely in quicktime player or VLC but have low framerate in ActivPrimary. Maybe the code in AP for video playback is not very efficient or it's just too much for the system to be running video and AP at the same time. Guess I could reduce the quality of the video to get around it.

Why have I never noticed there's no Activprimary Feature Request forum? Doh!:o I guess we'll have to use the Activstudio Feature Request Forum for now.

Regarding video, I recall being told something about the hardware acceleration settings but I'm getting way out of my depth here ... Technical Support would be a much more reliable source of help!
