I am looking for the graphing calculator software that can be used with the Promethean board. The TI - 83 calculator will be displayed on the board and is interactive for the students and the teacher. Is it a software program or a hardware installation?

Hi
I don't know much about this, but there are people on the forum who do. I searched the forum for "graphing calculator" and found these threads:

It's software, and you can get it from TI or one of their resellers. Here is a web link with more info:

I teach high school math, and I use this almost every day! I don't know what I would do without it.
I hope this helps.

I have used the (free) Virtual TI - an emulator that allows you to use the calculator on your Windows PC.
It's available at ( http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/84/8442.html (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/84/8442.html)).
It does NOT show the key-clicks, as the TI-SmartView does, but it's a good second choice.
