We've just had new boards installed in our school. I can use mine fine on my p.c. but i need to use my laptop. The drivers keep getting pushed out of the laptop. i tried to install the drivers on my macbook and i can't get that to work at all. Anyone any advice or similar problems?

The drivers keep getting pushed out of the laptop...

Hi elliott_jamie and welcome

What do you mean by 'drivers getting pushed out'? Not sure about this.

I'm not sure myself. I've been told that something is in conflict in my laptop. The driver recognizes the pen for about five minutes then drops it and it becomes useless until you uninstall then reinstall. makes the whole thing pointless and less useful than a good old white board!
As for my own mac to build recourses, the software will not work at all and i cannot seem to get anything from the website.

Hi, how frustrating! You really do need to get this sorted and the best way sounds like a call to technical support. They've always been really helpful with me.

Good luck.

This sounds like you've got an oldish driver. Use the support tab on your dashboard to go to the driver update page of the Promethean Knowledgebase website and download the latest driver. The current version is 4.13.18

There is a separate CD for the Mac version of the software which should have been included with the board. If it's got lost ask your reseller for another copy.

i've got the mac software on installed, just can't open activestudio 3. It opens then closes straight away. can't get the board to recognize the mac and therefore the pen doesn't work.

Are you by any chance trying to run Activstudio 3.0 under Leopard? 3.0 isn't compatible with Leopard - you need V3.6. You should be able to download this from the Prometheanworld website - you will need a license number to do so, which is inside of your CD box. I would call Tech Support if this is not the issue.
