During a training session yesterday somebody asked what the equivalent to "breaking the link" icon is in AS2 that was depicted by a chain in AS1.

Said I would ask..... graemlins/help.gif

Thanks

Don't you just click on the cross to close the file/program/video?

Sharon is correct.
In AS1 when a link was opened it covered the whole screen and couldn't be interacted with so the "breaking chain" button was required to close the link.
In AS2 links are opened in a window which can be resized, moved and closed so the "breaking chain" button is no longer required.

This works fine for most links but not if you have disabled the sound controller and want to stop a sound - the only thing I have found works is turning down the volume.

One way round that would be to have the sound controller option on one of your toolboxes. Then you can bring it up to stop the sound whenever you like but it still wouldn't start up automatically when the sound starts playing

I just tried clicking the flipchart toggle button quickly twice - shows desktop, stops sound, then comes back to flipchart... Should work if you don't mind whatever's under the flipchart showing briefly...

Thanks Rob and Louise - both solutions work well - will have to choose which one I like!
