Was delivering training in a school today where the maths department had invested in some rather swanky Dell widescreen laptops.

Unfortunately, AS2 would not work with them, throwing up the error that it would only work in "small fonts" mode

The Windows display controller would not let us access "small fonts"...

After some tweaking of the resolutions and settings, we finally got AS2 to work with the software, but the resolution was so high I can't see it working too well with the projector anyway...

Have you met this before? Any hints/ideas or suggestions on what they can do to imrpve compatibility with their laptops?

Danny

I've just purchased nine Acer widescreen laptops for the Science Department, but have yet to test them with an ACTIVboard.

Looks like another job for the morning.......

I'll post my findings in due course!

We have a Dell laptop that will not show a display when the ActivBoard78 is in full screen mode. I've tried ann the FnF8 toggling. This is not a problem with our 75 boards. Not sure if this is relevant to your widescreen issue. Have you had any feedback from the Tech support team?
