Looks interesting. Has anyone actually used this in their classroom? I would love to hear your feedback.

Hello Caryn, here is a case study on Tollgate school who have been using the AIMER software.

I hope this helps

Thanks Alan
That reads very well and was obviously a huge leap forward for the school but I was thinking more of an opinion from any teacher who had actually used the product and how it had changed / enhanced their use of activote, how easy to set up / use etc

Hi Caryn, I work for AIMER Education who make AIMER for Activote! I have put a couple of quotes from teachers below, that I though you may be interested in :).
"I have used Aimer successfully to track pupil progress. It saves me a lot of time, it is flexible and the children enjoy using it."
Jason Year 5 teacher in Brighton
"The great thing for the children is it doesn’t feel like a test to them, they see it as fun. And because the individual scores are not shown on the screen all the children are happy to participate."
Heather Year 6 teacher in Eastbourne
If your interested we are making a downloadable trial version of AIMER which should be available end of this week or early next week. I will post to this forum when it ready. Thanks Andy

Thanks for the update. This term has been hectic and as I haven't started the trial yet I'll wait till after our Easter Hols so that the kids can benefit for the duration of the trial!

Hi Caryn, thanks for keeping us up-to-date. We understand the demands placed on teaching professionals in general and know it can take a while to get round to these sort of things,

Hi!
I haven't downloaded the free trial yet because it's spring break and I'm waiting for school to be back in session! :) A couple of questions:
My activotes are about a year old and I do not have a hub. Is Aimer going to work?
Is Aimer only available forsale in the UK? The prices are in pounds!
I'd like to know the US equivalents please! :D
Thanks,
Holli

Holli,
My votes are older than that, and they work fine... The "hub" for your votes is actually your board, and as long as your board is plugged in, AIMER should recognize the votes.
JUST REMEMBER YOU ACTUALLY HAVE TO REGISTER THEM IN AIMER AS WELL (even if they are registered to the Board, the program needs you to register as well... This is the step I forgot to do!)...
It's totally worth it, and I am upset that I will be losing my trial shortly after the break... Oh well...
Also, make sure to check out the other forum posts on AIMER by searching for it... There are some really interesting posts out there, including a story about my roommate you won't want to miss!
