Are there any issues before I install ACTIVStudio 2 on a machine which already has ACTIVStudio 1?

I don't want to overwrite version 1 as a lot of people still use it.

Can the programs coexist on the same machine? (ACTIVPrimary is on there too!)

Hi Leia

ACTIVstudio 1.9x can co-exist with ACTIVprimary and ACTIVstudio SE PE DE versions. I have all on my computer. I would never run more than one version at a time though!

The only thing to bear in mind is file association - the very last ACTIV application you install will become the default version of ACTIVstudio or Primary that will open files with the .flp extension.

There are other file associations also that may be effected - these only need to be considered if you are in the habit of launching flipcharts by double clicking on the actual flipchart file.

You can of course use whatever version you have installed to open flipcharts from the menu system.

Bear in mind that ACTIVstudio 1 can only open its own flipcharts and that ACTIVprimary and ACTIVstudio 2 can open any flipchart whatever created it. Also that ACTIVstudio 2 and ACTIVprimary will convert version 1 flipcharts to thier own format - to retain your version 1 flipcharts simply save the converted flipchart with a different name so the original is not over written.

Hope this helps smile.gif and that I have not confused you further
