Overlay vs Copy Mode

I don't seem to be able to use any tool apart from the pen tool in Overlay mode. The Highlighter does not appear tp be active and the shapes associated with the the pen tool don't work.

Is that as it shouold be or is my ActivStudio2 faulty? graemlins/help.gif

By design Bob. Pen,Eraser and Marquee Select are currently the only tools you can use in overlay mode.
The main benefit for overlay mode is that when Marquee Select (Arrow) is active, you can continue using the underlaying application whilst the annotations remain on top (ie whilst Overlay mode is active).

If you want full use of AS2 tools, you need to switch to Copy Mode.

Thanks for that information. One quibble though...I would love to be able to use the highlighter as well as the pen. Might that be possible in the future?
