If you are coming to BETT and don't yet have Activprimary, come and see us at K30 and take a copy away to play with for 60 days. The stand is worth seeing alone......

Hey Margaret, I have only ever used Studio and not Activ primary but I have seen it, my understanding is that it is basically a slimmed down version of Studio but in a more primary friendly skin, is this an accurate description?

Accurate insofar that it is a primary friendly interface, however, it is as functional as Activstudio and will support all actions and restrictors that Activstudio can offer :p
Thus, it caters for Primary students and their teachers having a very intuitive interface, but also allows the "expert" to apply actions, restrictors and properties in the same way as in Activstudio [clap]
I second the intuitive nature of ACTIV primary for teachers - they can start experimenting and find out how to use most of the basic tools even if they are not particularly keen on ICT. Then, once they are confident, it is easier to show them the higher level skills.

There are specially selected resources that also differ from Activstudio - with a greater focus on early years - although resource packs can be installed to either.
Training and support also focus on the particular needs of the Primary demographic to make it more than just a software skin though... It is part of a whole primary focussed offering.
