Can someone explain to me how to download the new 3.5 software for the vista computer. I have the 3.0 disk. However, my new computer with vista does not allow the disks to run. It says I need windows xp.
So, I tried to download off the website and it says I must have the orginial software to be able to use the downloads. Help!
I tried tech support and they just told me to download off of the site. I guess they are not listening to what I am saying.????
I'm sure someone else has had this problem. But, haven't found any posts.
Thanks,
Melinda
Hi Melinda and welcome.
This probably won't help much but I have vista and have been successful. Where Tech support are correct is that you must first complete an installation from disc before you can download from the web for the upgrade.
I'm not sure why your computer is insisting you need XP, I had no such problem:confused:

hello melinda,
maybe i can help u with these answers....the cd of ativstudio 3.0 has no autostart function for the win vista desktop. please open the windows explorer, browse to your cd directory. then click on the folder "app". there should be a setup.exe. with this file you can install 3.0 on your pc and then download to the new version with the dashboard in activstudio>support>search for updates.
please be sure that you must have activdriver 4.1.114 to connect to your activboard correctly under win vista ;)
Donwload this driver, normally users have the 32 bit version of vista, so you need the 32 bit activdriver 4.1.114.
so ....
1) activdriver 32 bit downloadand install
2) install activstudio 3.0 by following the upper steps
3) download update 3.5 and install it to work with vista and your activboard.
if you need any help, you write me an private message :o
