Hello, all..
Apologies if this is in the wrong forum (mods, could you move it if need be, please?)...
We have had several boards spiking, and the fix so far seems to be to install an updated firmware sent out by Promethean.
What I'm wondering is - given that I already know the model of the board in each room - is there anyway to deploy a firmware update to remote PCs so that they will automatically update the firmware of their connected board?
Cheers,
Gerard

I'm not aware of any way of doing a firware update remotely and automatically. However, there may be someone .....

Hi, Peter..
Perhaps to clarify matters slightly..
If there's a set of command line options to pass to the firmware update program so that it runs silently in the background, then remotely deploying it is easy enough.
Something like flashupgrade.exe /silent?

oo errrrr Not sure I dare.....
To my simple understanding of firmware upgrading is that it has to be localised as it searches for specifics during the upgrade and boards need to be turned on and off at specific times and so, don't know why, but I think the answer is "no"+wave+ BUT being such a techie knowall......I would understand if somebody were to say I am wrong. I am basing this on my experience of upgrading firmware in numerous boards and having to respond to the process "locally"....;)

Hi Gerard,
In support of my colleagues I concur there is no automated way to upgrade firmware at this time. Whilst we are of course sorry to hear of your current issue, these are few and far between and as such firmware upgrading is not something we anticipate people be doing regularly.
I would strongly recommend if you have such technical queries that you utilise our technical support knowledgebase www.Prometheankb.com, where there are hundreds of FAQ answers available and direct contact details of our customer support team who can and will provide you with timely and accurate answers to such questions.[clap]
best regards
Paul
