Hi,
I must say I thought the forum would be buzzing with comments from recipients of the new version!
I cannot get the keyboard to appear, at school (with an activboard) or at home (no activboard, but better computer). Is the Activboard needed for the keyboard to appear?

Well its getting very boring with no replies so I'll show bad etiquette and reply to myself.
If the 'use system keyboard' is checked in studio settings then that means you are expected to use the realware keyboard attached to the PC and don't get access to the virtual keyboard.

Hi
Sorry for delay - must be post Easter syndrome.

Not quite sure why your keyboard does not fire up. Mine fires up with or without ACTIVboard.
A call to tech support (0870 241 3194) might help

If you select 'use system keyboard' (in settings/user input) this will display a virtual kb as per the system keyboard. However since your virtual kb is not firing up you won't see this. Its not to use/not use the realware keyboard - this can always be used.

Hope this helps

If "Use Keyboard Supplied with OS" is set then you need to ensure that the Microsoft OSK is installed. This is in the OS Accessibility Options and may not be installed by default.

Ah, that would explain it. Would a better setup then be for the "Use Keyboard Supplied with OS" option to default off, rather than on, or is it just me that does not have the accessibility options installed?
