I am having problems with my enormous flipchart disappearing from my desktop after I save it. We're using this flipchart for a presentation at the Georgia Education Technology Conference. The file size is not that big (since it automatically compresses), but the number of pages in the flipchart is around 100. Is there a limit on the number of pages a flipchart can handle?

It saves OK on an external drive, but disappears from my desktop and my harddrive on my MacBook Pro.

Thanks for any enlightenment you can provide!

As far as I'm aware the number of flipchart pages is only limited by the size f the RAM of a machine. However I would never contemplate making a flipchart of so many pages because it's too much to lose if something goes wrong. Try splitting it into chunks of around 20 pages.

To add to David's suggestion, you can link to other flipcharts within your original one. Basically, create 5 20-page flipcharts, but at the end of Flipchart #1, create an action item link to Flipchart #2. It will appear seamless and no one will be the wiser as you present it. Just be sure to send all 5 Flipcharts to your external drive (or attach in email) if you send them to someone.

As far as the flipchart disappearing, I don't really know...did you try searching for the file name? Maybe it was saved to a Shared folder instead of your desktop accidently?
