Here's the first one...

When I embed flash on a page, I can choose for the file to 'start automatically' this, however, seems to make no difference and I need to click on it once before it becomes 'active'. So what is he difference?

I think perhaps (if it is working correctly) that the flash file will start automatically when you turn to the page.

No - it doesn't become active whe I turn to the page - still needs to be clicked...

Hi,

A new build of Activstudio & Activprimary MAC is now available to download for new users, new builds are 3.0.96 for Activprimary & Activstudio.

Existing MAC users will see the dashboard update some time today.

Issued that have been fixed are below (describes the issue, not the fix):

a) "Missing Flipchart" reported on the forum

b) When the default tool the software is launched or open a new flipchart is the Pen tool regardless of what is set in the Flipchart section of the preferences.

c) When the Floating Keyboard is launched with the Tools menu but when User clicks on the page with the text tool to create another text box the floating keyboard closes when it should be open.

d) The resource packs default to install in "My Resources" should default to "Shared."

e) The default resource folder selected is different than previous versions e.g. if you select the shapes tool and open the categories browser the arrows folder was selected instead of the root folder Shared shapes.

f) Default options for design mode are incorrect.

g) When the Text tool is selected for the first time the text colour was set to black and also the background button was checked and set to black thus having a black block regardless of what was typed!

h) Random App Behaviour reported on the forum is fixed.

This update is also available via the Activprimary Dashboard. On the Dashboard select the Support tab and then click on the ‘Check for Update’ button. Then click on the ‘Download’ button to download version 3.0 build 96 and the ‘Open Read Me’ button to view changes made in this release

I have read the Read Me and wonder if Build 96 also addresses the board not being recognized (watermark not going away). That issue was previously resolved through a driver update. Does that make it a seperate problem/solution?

I am trying to help someone who has not yet addressed the recognition issue and want to know if getting up to date is a one- or two-step solution.

I think that was resolved with the new driver, not the application update.

Thanks Lisa. I should have waited until after I downloaded the update to post. Turns out it does contain the updated driver, as well as several other filess I am curious about.

Can anyone tell me what "Smile306regular.pkg.dmg," "keyspanUSAdrvr.pkg," and "hasp.pkg" are for?

Yes, these are installation packages for non-standard installations and you don't need to worry about them
