Hi
If you are anything like me you would have found it a daunting task once the D&T topic hit the summer term or whenever!! Primary Engineer is a project which will soon be on sale as a set of very supportive and structured flipcharts which will allow teachers and children to really get to grips with the whole design, test, modify, retest concept. BUT with embedded video and instructions together with story led activities it is a must for the classroom.
You can win a set by going here (http://www.prometheanplanet.com/uk/server/show/ConWebDoc.3070) +wave+[clap]

Here Here Margaret,[clap]
I have tested over 500 pieces of software for the accreditation programme and I can honestly say that this is the one product that fills the biggest curriculum gap.
Of course I am really biased - in my life before Promethean I was a DT teacher and it was a nightmare trying to get good primary DTresources, there really isn't much out there. But Primary Engineer doesn't just plug a gap it is a great product especially for non-specialists. It gives you all the resources to teach 9 QCA DT units so all you need to prepare for is the practical activities, and the activities and graphics are great.
mmm it makes me want to teach again, just to try it out with a class, my old Yr5's would have loved it:rolleyes:

Hi,
Great to see this topic launched on Promethean Planet!
As a Primary Engineer trainer, I have worked with Susan Scurlock and David Jinks on the development of this product. I must say the attention to detail that has gone into developing the Primary Engineer Interactive Whiteboard resource has been second to none, It has been built on many years of specialist Design and Technology teaching and offers both the specialist and technophobic ;) lots of content to enable them to deliver a quality classroom experience.

It's worth mentioning, if anyone is inspired by what they've read above then why not enter the Planet competition to win a Primary Engineer set of whiteboard resources called 'Structure & Mechanisms.'
To enter in the competition, please visit this link. (http://www.prometheanplanet.com/uk/server/show/ConWebDoc.3070)
Good luck! :)
