Hi all,

On my little old iBook G4 I can see the menus (Activstudio, File, Edit) at the top of the screen. On another teacher's Mac (Intel Mac) I can't see these options at the top. I'm guessing they are a Mac setting but I don't know how to fix it so she can see these menus at the top of her screen. Hope I'm making sense here! Help!

This is possibly to do with Screen resolutions.... ooooeeeerrrr bit techy for me.... or page scale? Can you try either of those:eek::confused:+wave+

Hi,

On my Mac there is a button on my toolbar called "Show/Hide Menu Bar" that can be turned on and off. It is just under the "Main Menu" that get used most often. Perhaps one person has hers turned on and another turned off?

That was silly of me - I just noticed you are using AP and my reply was in reference to AS. I looked all though my v2.1 of AP but didn't find any setting/button to use to reveal the options you were looking for. Sorry for the misinformation.

Hmmm, maybe I wasn't very clear in my question. Here's a flipchart to help show you what I'm looking for.

On my Mac I get these menus. On another teachers Mac she does not have these menu options. Is this a Mac thing or an Activstudio thing? How do I get these menu options to appear on the other teachers computer?

BTW - I'm using Activstudio.

I dunno these infiltrators in the AP forum :D;)

Not so hot on my MAC knowledge and then add AS  - but it looks to me that you have invoked the "window" environment within MAC. (Go to your settings) I am assuming you are on V3 and that the MAC version has the option to go to a "lesser" interface :D - Bill Gates would feel soooo smug!+wave+

Thanks for the FC - I am attaching a revised version that hopefully shows more clearly what I meant initially. It looks like it should help with your colleague's display.

"I am assuming you are on V3 and that the MAC version has the option to go to a "lesser" interface."

Margaret,

From your mouth to programmers' ears - Mac users are eager for our V3 to become available!

Oh boy, I feel silly now. You mean the icon was right in front of me and I didn't even see it ....or even try it. Duh! Thanks for the help and clarification.

BTW - I wish the icon tools on the Mac were a little better. It's very hard to tell someone to go to the....um blue and white thingy in the top corner. If they just labeld it a dog icon it would have been so much easier. "Click on the dog icon." Very clear and easy to explain to a new learner.

I do know the answer to this one - scroll down as far as you can and you will see:

All times are GMT. The time now is 09:21 AM.

In other words, it is getting near to my bedtime in NZ...
