Image/sound object to My Library

Hi all,

I've created a sound and have attached it to an image by putting the sound over the image and then making the sound translucent (so you can't see it). I've then grouped them as one object. What I want to do now is add it to my library. I can do this on the PC, but I can't seem to get it to work on the Mac (2.5). I've tried putting it in images, collections and sounds. Any suggestions!

Have you gone into design mode? But in 2.5 you can do more than this... you can go into settings and you can set up the sound to be both saved onto the page and saved to file - this gets around the "workaround" [clap]

Yes, that is neat! My problem is that I can't get the grouped object into "My Resource Library". Any ideas!

You need to try and drag it into My Collections..... not just the library. Does that make sense? +wave+

Grouped Objects with sounds in the software are mixed objects, so in activeStudio/primary these objects had to be in shared/my collections. in this folder you can save "anything" :D

Ok, this is what I thought (grouping into Collections). When I tried it the first time I wasn't successful. However, I just figure out that I was not dragging to the correct area of the library. I was first trying to drag to the top where the folders are. You need to make sure and drag to the bottom half of the library. I'm happy now!

That is a neat trick. I know I'll use that come September. Using it reminded me of a problem I have had selecting and grouping items. Once I have grouped things the selection boxes are no longer close to the object, rather they are considerably farther away, even under other items at times. When I try to move them closer, they shrink the original grouped item.
What am I doing wrong?

This is a known problem in V2.5 for the Mac. My understanding is that it is fixed in V3.
