If you use websites regularly in lessons, you may want to explore the power of the special Promethean Web Browser - to make better 'on the fly' use of web resources.
You can choose to launch the Promethean browser directly using its icon - a planet icon in the Promethean man menu in AP, and a tool in the toolstore and usually in the special tools menu of AS.
Settings also allow you to choose to use the Promethean browser when you click links in a flipchart as well as dictate the default links for "home" and "search".
Its two main differences are:
1) that it will stay "on top" of any flipchart you are working on - allowing you to simpy drag and drop selected text and image directly from the web to the flipchart and
2) it has a "make link" function (the link icon) - in that menu you will get options to add the page you are looking at as a link to the flipchart. My favourite option is "Add URL as thumbnail" - which makes a small, clickable picture of the website in the flipchart - that takes you straight to the link if you click it in the future.
