These are great to have a message or prompt onscreen during a lesson. They 'float' over all applications, and you can have a number of them open at once. Colour-code them for greater impact.
Stack them in order with the most recent one on top. Turn a Note into a Pointer so its text is hidden, then reveal the message again later. 'Shuffle' Pointers then pick at random.
Some Ideas: Lesson objectives, Assessment criteria (rubric), Safety information, Activity Circus instructions, Keywords, Vocabulary, Warnings, Reminders, Group members, Chemical formulae, Equipment list, Clean-up instructions, Name of visitor, Inspirational message, Design brief, Recipe, Words of a song, Homework....

Wow. Excellent.

Another possibility. Design combinations of notes and pointers to overlay third party applications in specific areas in order to act as tutorials.
You could create a set for Word, a set for Powerpoint, etc. You could add file links to these from objects in a desktop flipchart in order to avoid having to hunt the DNP files down each time you need them

Sorry, totally off topic!:o

Would've contacted you direct, Nigel (PM or email) but you're 'unavailable'.
Anyway, you're not funny or clever and I have been irritated by your not very interesting and irritating distraction.;)

Clue: Look at Nigel's signature.

Another great feature of Notes (and Pointers)
You can use the Recognition Tool to add text into a Note. Great for adding comments 'on the fly'.
