I switch the handwriting recognition on when recording suggestions and answers from the class during a whole group exercise/discussion.

It makes them more legible and allows me to move them around, rearrange them on the board etc, much more easily and quickly than leaving them as annotations.

(needs a bit of practice beforehand to check the board recognises your writing well enough to do this without gigging hysteria setting if it keeps misrecognising things!)

To move this suggestion onto another activity/suggestion. I love the idea of having a "notepad" as a container which means I can add all those words and then if need be move them in one action to another page.

Choose an image or just a square and give it the property of being a container and then as you create your words add them to this object.

Fantastic to help children move concepts/ideas from one page to another. +wave+

This would also work well if you are building up a way of addressing a problem so that you end up with a cumulative set of instructions which have been taken from several pages.[clap]

Here's a tip for handwriting recognition:

Don't hog the Recognition tool! Students love using the Recognition tool - it particularly encourages younger learners to write clearly.

How do you use the Recognition tool/handwriting recognition?
