I have heard that the 3.0 software will support the use of the pens being used at one time. If this is correct, how do you enable this function?
Thanks,
Erik Skramstad
Not something you can 'enable' in V3 (yet), I'm afraid.

This is new technology which will be available during the latter part of 2007.

This is so cool. This a a feature that I have dreamed about since the first day I got my board. My students will just love it!!!

It is very cool. I have had the lucky chance to see it in action. I hope to also be able to try it out in my classroom when it becomes available.

If possible, I think this would be a great teaching tool, if you could use it on the slate why a student is at the board or vise versa.

Or the pupils in 4 groups, each with a slate and creating notes/suggestions/team play on their own portion of the board.
Or... via a network or the internet, possibly combined with video conferencing technology, to assist with remote learning or wider collaborative projects.

And it will further differentiate the ActivBoard/Studio from wannabes like tablet computer/datashow combos (which have some of the benefits of IWBs, and potentially could be a competitor).

Will the same changes allow the use of an ActivSlate at the same time as the ActiVotes? That would also be really useful. :)

No Carol afraid they won't be.... the thing is the board can only pick up on one type of RF device at any one time. BUT you can set the questions to be in "timed mode" this then means that the "voting session" stops automatically, negating the need to be able to use the slate to stop the vote.
Good workaround? :D
