How can I make the pointer the default?

Does anyone know how the make the pointer the default key when returning to the flipchart from the the desktop? Currently it is the pen and I find this irritating. Have tried everything I can find. Thanks.

I've just tried it in both versions of Primary and Studio. It's dependent on which is on when you leave the flipchart. So if the pen is on when you leave the flipchart for the desktop, it will be on when you return to the page. However if you switch on the pen while you're in desktop mode in Studio it will stay on when you go back to the flipchart.
If you're using version 3 you can set up a Gesture to switch between the Select Tool and the Pen a quick flick of the board pen will change one to the other very quickly.

Thanks David, but how do I set up a Gesture? I have version 3.1.

Go to the Main Menu > Studio Settings > Gesture Wheel. I've attached a flipchart with a snapshot of the Gesture Wheel settings. There already is a gesture set for switching the Pen Tool on and off. Despite the fact it says 10 in the panel, it means flick the pen from 0 (the centre) to 1 (the top) but you can change t if you wish. Once you're happy with the gesture, check the 'Enable Gestures' box at the top of the Settings panel. When you return to your flipchart page you will see some feint dots around the cursor. These are the gesture points so that you have something to aim at when your'e flicking. Have fun!
