Hi,

I thought that it might be a good idea to start a thread so that I can inform you of the latest accredited software and give you a bit of info about each one. You can access the full lists of accredited software from: http://www.prometheanworld.com/uk/server/show/nav.2231

Latest titles include:

Click Science from 3E's - An online subscription service for KS3 and 4 science. Lots of images, video, diagrams, animations linked to curriculum and all GCSE Science Specs. It is also a managed environment, content is organised into lessons and you can create your own lessons using any of the included ontent or by submitting your own.

Bond Builder Table Trainer from Number Gym - A series of timed question sets for primary maths, for practicing number bonds and tables. Mainly suited for individual work but could make good starters on a whiteboard for the whole class.

Autograph from Eastmond Publishing - Secondary Maths software, lots of info on this for you, ill start a new thread for this shortly.

Hello again,+wave+

I've not managed to post much in the forum the last couple of weeks because I have been busy accrediting lots more software. New titles include:

Multiplication and Division Exploded by Easy Peasy - These are two specific titles for using to teach multiplication and division using different methods. Very visual and great if you are looking for something specific to teach these two skills.

Teachers Little Helper Flipcharts - These are new products that are being developed in Activprimary by an ex primary school teacher. Instead of purchasing a whole package they are available as low cost individual flipcharts - ideal if you need a flipchart for something specific. They are mostly for KS1 but the range is expanding.

Maths for Activote Software by Robert Powell - This software is not quite ready for release yet, but when it is I will let you know. It consists of thousands of question sets to use with (or without) Activote all linked to Curriculum/Framework objectives. Fab for Assessment for learning, and you can mix them up to create new question sets or create your own question sets.

This posts getting a bit long so i'll continue on a new one.

More accredited software....

Shoo Fly - I have accredited all of their products, they consist of big books for the whiteboard with accompanying activities and flipcharts - yippee, you can also stick all their resources (characters, backgrounds etc) intothe AP/AS resource libraries. I have a lot more to say about Shoo Fly so watch this space I will dedicate a new thread to it soon.

New 100 Maths Framework Lessons from Scholastic - Available for Yr1 - Yr6 consisting of a book with 100 Maths lessons mapped to the new framework objectives with a CD of all the resources which also contains a handful of whiteboard activities. The nice thing about the CD resources is that you can display the photocopiable resources onscreen and annotate over them and also reveal the answers.

Hodder Murray - I am half way through accrediting their entire software range!!! ???? there's loads of titles so I will update you on these when i've finished.

Thats all for now folks.

Scholastic have just updated some of their 100 lessons products to meet the new Primary Framework. These include a CD to accompany the book which contain all the book pages as pdfs as well as some nice interactive activities for the whiteboard. Its a shame they are not in flipchart format like 100 Activprimary Whiteboard Lessons, but they are still really useful for the whiteboard and have all received the Enabled Kitemark. The titles include:

100 Literacy Framework Lessons
100 Maths Framework Lessons
100 Science Lessons

Calling all you music teachers (or none specialist teachers that have to teach music).

I have just accredited some really good software from Sibelius thats also great for teaching with on a whiteboard. All titles have received the Enabled Kitemark.

For KS1&2 there is Groovy Shapes (age 5-7), Groovy Jungle (age 7-9) and Groovy City (age 9-11). It introduces children to notes, musical terms, composition, instruments and much more.

For KS2-4 (10-16yr olds) there is O-Generator which can be used to teach the fundamentals of music and composition. It can be used freely but also includes a virtual music teacher and structured lessons with objectives, activities, outcomes and assessment.

Hi Roseann,

At the moment 100 Whiteboard Lessons is only actually available to UK customers via the UK shop. You can still use the link to download the other free samples though.

:(I am sorry I rushed to answer your question but I hadn't noted your location when I replied. I will update you if this product becomes available in the US.
